Sub Occipital Headaches
Sub Occipital Headaches are a dull pain that travels from the back of the neck to the side of your head and sometimes into the back of the eyes.
Other symptoms of sub occipital headaches include:
- Difficulty concentrating
- Light headedness
- Dizziness
These headaches are usually a result of multiple factors. One factor may be due to a misalignment in the vertebrae in the neck. Another factor may be too much stress to the muscles which control the turning and tilting of your head.
It may be the height of your pillow, holding a phone in between your ear and shoulder, holding your head up with your arms while reading or watching television as well as trauma.
If ignored, increased strain on your neck will increase the frequency of your headaches.
